Science Week – w/c Monday 7th March 2022

Dear parents/carers

We will be celebrating ‘National British Science week’ during the w/c 7th March.  British science week is a celebration of science and STEM. The theme this year is ‘Growth.’ To investigate this area of science and to develop a wide range of scientific skills, our children will be taking part in lots of practical and exciting science investigations and experiments.  Children will also be encouraged to bring any science books into school during this week. Children can bring in a white shirt to protect their school uniform whilst experimenting and to look like a scientist!

Science Fair

Parents and guardians will be given the opportunity to find out about their child’s learning by visiting their child’s science fair on Tuesday 15th March 2022.  During the science fair samples of the children’s work from nursery to year 6 will be available and science ambassadors from each year group will be presenting their year groups learning. The science fair will be held in the community room from 9.00am – 9.30am on Tuesday 15th March 2022.

If you would like to attend your child’s science fair, bookings can be made via the link Science Fair Booking Form.

The Eatwell Lunch box challenge competition

We will also be participating in The Eatwell Lunchbox challenge competition which is designed to empower pupils to lead healthier lifestyles. To help our pupils better understand the role food plays in their life, we’re asking all parents, carers and guardians to fill the questionnaire with food stories they can share as a class. We want to hear all about them!  For more information, click here

Thank you
