Year 4 High Borrans – April 2022
Dear parents / carers
We are excited to confirm that Year 4 will have the opportunity to take part in a residential visit to High Borrans this April! We very much hope that all children who want to will take up this amazing opportunity.
High Borrans is an Outdoor Education centre near Windermere in the Lake District. It is a self-contained centre, in its own grounds, which belongs to North Tyneside Council. The children will get the chance to visit some different parts of the Lake District and try out some expert-led activities, such as canoeing and Ghyll scrambling. They will develop independence, resilience and cooperative skills. To find out more about High Borrans and what they offer, click this link.
The visit is during the school week, the first week back after the Easter holidays. Children will be away on the visit for three days and two nights as follows:
- 4I – Monday 25th April to Wednesday 27th April
- 4O – Wednesday 27th April to Friday 29th April
The children are accompanied by our own school staff on the visit.
Children who choose not to take up this opportunity can remain in school. However there are enough places to accommodate all children who wish to go.
The full cost of this trip is £225 per child. Payment should be made using School Gateway ‘Payments’ according to the following payment schedule:
Name of payment | Amount | Deadline |
Y4 High Borrans 2022 Deposit | £50 | Friday 4th March |
