Transition 2026
Dear parent / carer
As per the advance diary dates, our whole school transition will be on Tuesday 30th June 2026. This is a chance for children to meet staff they will spend time with next year and visit their new classrooms.
Reception to Year 5 transition
Children in Reception to Year 5 should be dropped off at the entrances they will use next year. Click here to see a map of entrances by year group. Reception children will have their transition in the classrooms currently being used by Year 1 in the main school building. Children will spend the morning with their new teachers and return to their usual rooms for the afternoon. You should collect your child from their usual entrance at the end of the school day.
Nursery transition
Nursery children should attend their Nursery and/or KEEP sessions as usual on transition day. The Reception staff team will spend some time that day visiting them in the Nursery and bringing them to visit the Reception spaces. The Reception teachers for next year are Mr Denton and Mrs Armstrong. You will receive a separate communication confirming their class teacher for next year later today.
Staff updates
We are very pleased to share that Miss Tong is getting married at the start of the summer holidays! Miss Tong will return in September with the married name of Mrs Bahary. Unfortunately, Miss Osueke remains absent from work for health reasons and we send her our best wishes for recovery. We will be welcoming back Miss Reynolds from maternity leave in July and she will be teaching in Year 3 from September.
