Parents Evening Oct 20

Dear parent /carer

 

We are very aware that when children arrive on site, their teachers are no longer available to catch up with parents as they are now in class ready to start teaching and learning during the soft start.  With this in mind, we have made the decision to hold parents evening earlier in the term than we usually would, to give parents the opportunity to speak to their child’s teacher as soon as possible.  We will therefore be holding parents evening after school on Monday 5th and Monday 12th October.  Parents evening is for children in Reception to Year 6 only.  Parents evening for Nursery will be later in the school year.

 

However, due to Covid restrictions we will not be able to hold parents evening in our usual way.  Instead, we will be holding a telephone style parents evening.  You will be able to book a telephone appointment time.  This will be done in the usual way using Google Forms; further information to follow this week.  

 

As usual, appointments will be no more than 10 minutes in length.  Whilst staff will aim to keep to schedule, this may be understandably more difficult with a telephone appointment.  Therefore, can you please be available to answer your phone up to 15 minutes before and after your chosen appointment time.  Staff will do their best to call you on time and all parents can help with this by keeping conversations no longer than 10 minutes.  

 

Please note, you will receive your parents evening call from an unknown number.  If you do miss the teachers’ attempts to contact you, you will unfortunately be unable to return the call.
