In Memory of Frank 14.03.2022

Dear parent / carer

You may or may not be aware that, sadly, one of our Reception children died very suddenly in December 2020 having been previously diagnosed with neuroblastoma.  It is hugely important to us and his family that we always remember and celebrate Frank as a member of his Reception class and a part of our school.  Every year on his birthday (Monday 14th March), we will be celebrating his life and memory in school.

On Monday 14th March we would like all children to come into school in non-school uniform and wearing Frank’s favourite colour – blue!  We will be collecting donations on that day for Neuroblastoma UK.  Neuroblastoma UK is a small national charity, dedicated to finding a cure for neuroblastoma.  It is through funding leading research projects that the charity stands a chance to develop new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma.  If you would like to donate, please go to the School Gateway app, tap ‘payments’, then tap ‘In Memory of Frank’.

In school on Monday, in celebration of Frank, all children will have extra time in our outdoor spaces, including our trim trail and quiet areas (weather permitting).

Thank you

Miss Byrne
