Children wishing to return on-site next week

Update

As you can imagine, we have been incredibly busy making sure that the necessary detailed plans are in place for more children and staff to return on-site from Monday.

Reception and Year 6 return on Monday 8th June

Year 1 return on Wednesday 10th June

ONLY CHILDREN WHO BOOKED A PLACE CAN SEND THEIR CHILD ON-SITE NEXT WEEK.

The detailed planning and risk assessment processes have been completed and shared with the LA.  The Health and Safety Governing Body committee will be looking at all of the final version of the planning, risk assessment and on-site proceedures tomorrow.  The LA are confident in our plans.

Staff have had been involved in the risk assessment content and have all had training, guidance and support so that we are ready as a team for next week.

All these necessary steps have to be taken.  But we are all very excited to see you all again!

I appreciate that there may be many questions you may have, some of which you shared with me when you responded to the survey for a place on-site.  Thank you for those.  They were very helpful to think about.

Important information and task for all returning families

We have created a Frequently Asked Questions document to hopefully answer these for you.  It has been necessary to take this long to get this to you, so it reflects our final plans and any changes we have made over the last few weeks.  So thank you for your patience.  Had I sent it earlier as I had initially intended, it may have needed some updates.  I felt it was better to send it as a final FAQ, reflecting our final plans for next week.

If you would still like you child to come back next week then it is ESSENTIAL that you thoroughly read the following document.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once you have done so, you MUST then complete one final step.  There are some non-negotiable health and safety requirements.  These cover both allowing parents to return to the school grounds and also relate to your choice to send your children in to school.  You MUST complete this short link by no later than Friday 3pm.  It has taken a great deal of time and work to get to this point and it is important that we have done so carefully and methodically.  So apologies for the short notice in asking for you to do this.

What should you do if you have changed your mind?

This decision is a personal decision right now for each child and family.  We respect that.  Whilst I hope that the steps we have taken and the information we have shared reassure you, it is ultimately your decision.  If you would no longer like your child to return next week, please could you drop us an email by tomorrow night.  It means that we know not to expect you.  On a practical basis, it also means the place in that bubble could be given to someone else if they have changed their mind and would not like their child to come in.

We are all excited to see you and your children next week!
