Nursery 30 hours Provision Information

Following a successful a bid to the DfE we were awarded funding for an extension to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) building.  As a result, from September 2017, we have been able to  offer 30 hours EYFS provision for families who are eligible.

Our new provision is called The Keep –  King Edward Extended Provision.

This extended provision is run directly by our school and is staffed by our own school staff.  The provision is a teacher led provision and provides up to 52 places of additional provision.

Children who are eligible for 30 hours of EYFS, access 15 hours of Nursery education, either all mornings or all afternoons, based in the Nursery space.

Morning Nursery children are then in the Keep for the rest of their additional hours for the afternoon.
Afternoon Nursery children are in the Keep every morning and then in the Nursery every afternoon.

Children attending full time can either have a school lunch, paid for by families, or they can bring a packed lunch.  Unfortunately, Nursery age children are not entitled to a ‘free school meal’.

In order to access the provision, families must ensure they are eligible and MUST provide an eligibility code every 3 months in order to remain in the Keep.

Children who attend full time can also access before school, after school and holiday provision in the OOSC- this is a paid childcare service.
