Year 5 – Harvest Festival – Wednesday 11th October 2023 – Harvest Donations for Cedarwood’s Nourish Store
To celebrate Harvest Festival on Wednesday 11th October 2023 Year 5 are hosting their annual Harvest Assembly. Year 5 parents/carers are welcome to come along to the assembly in the gym via the far school entrance, doors will open after 9.05am to allow children to come into school.
We are asking our whole school community for donations for Cedarwood, a charity located in the heart of the Meadow Well in North Shields at their Nourish Store. They are not a food bank, they are a community scheme which costs £1 to join and £4 for a chosen basket of shopping which includes fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. They are open to anybody, no matter your circumstances, income or where you live.
They have run out of so many basic food items such as tinned vegetables, jams, soup, rice, biscuits, cereals, toiletries. Tin on a Wall North Tyne are one of their main source of donations.
They are in need of non perishable items including the following:
- Tins/Jars
- Pasta
- Rice
- Cereals
- Toiletries
Can we ask if you can drop any donations into the play sheds in the KS1 & KS2 yards or into the school office in carrier bags.
