Y6 High Borrans Further Details
Dear parents / carers
As we approach the High Borrans trip in May, we would like to share some further information with you about the trip.
High Borrans permission form
Your child will have already brought home a permission form with them entitled ‘High Borrans Dietary, Medical & Contact Information Form – Under 18’s’. This form needs to be completed
and returned to school ASAP if you have already not done so. This is a paper form rather than our usual electronic format as requested by High Borrans.
Medication
If your child already has medication in school, we will take this with us on the trip. If your child requires any additional medication on the trip you should provide this to school no later than
Friday 15 th May. Please come to the school office with the medication and complete a permission form allowing us to administer the medication. All medication must be in its
original container / box. This includes any travel sickness medication. For further information, see our Managing Medicati
Kit list
Children will be required to bring a packed bag containing everything they need for their High Borrans adventure! To see the recommended kit list, please attached. Children should not bring their phone, cameras or any other electronics as the focus of this visit is outdoor activity and team building. There are also NO snacks allowed. Click here for Kit list
Travel information
6IB – Children will need to arrive in school at 8.20/30 on Monday 18 th May for prompt departure at 9.00am. Please bring your child to the main P.E Hall with their belongings. We estimate that children will arrive back in school by approximately 4.00 to 4.30pm on Wednesday 20th May. Please collect your child from the KS1 yard door where you dropped them off. We will text you on the day to give you a more accurate arrival time.

All children will need a water bottle that can be refilled.
Payment reminder
Thank you to those parents who have been making payments as requested. The full cost of
this trip is £325 per child and must be paid by the final deadline. Payment should be made
using School Gateway ‘Payments’ according to the following payment schedule:

Bedroom allocation
Staff in school will be speaking to children in the coming days about bedroom arrangements for the trip. Rooms come in different capacities, sleeping from four to six children. Children
will be asked which children they would like to share with and we will do our utmost to accommodate their choices to ensure every child has at least one friend in their room. In due
course their teacher will also go through the food list for meals so that the children can chose their options.
