Transition to Year 2 September 2023

Dear parent / carer

Parents of children moving from Year 1 to Year 2 in September 2023

See your child’s new entrance

You are invited to see your child’s new entrance and classroom.  This will be an opportunity for you to have a quick look around with staff at their new learning space.  Please come along at 9.00am on Thursday 6th July.  We will meet you at your child’s new entrance which is at the far end of the KS2 yard (near the school garden).  Please stand back until all current Year 2 children are seen safely into school, then our staff will invite you into the building.  If you are already familiar with our site, for example if you have had siblings in Year 2, you are more than welcome to attend but do not feel that you need to.

Children currently in 1D

Your child’s Teacher for next year is Miss Reynolds!  Miss Reynolds will not be in school on the whole school Transition Day on Tuesday 4th July as she is still on maternity leave and is not able to be tomorrow.  However, she has come in to say hello to your children today and is going to come into school on Friday 7th July to spend the morning with them in their current classroom.  On Transition Day (Tuesday 4th July), your child should still come in and leave by their new Year 2 door and will spend the day in their new classroom with staff they are familiar with – Miss Dunn is with them all morning.

Thank you

Miss Byrne
