Reminder – Dance Festival The Parks – Tuesday 7th March 2023

REMINDER

Dear Parent/Carer

Your child has been selected to take part in the North Shields Dance festival, which takes place on Tuesday 7th March 2023. The festival is a celebration of dance and the theme this year is `New Beginnings`. The dance festival is a brilliant night and you and members of your family are very welcome to come and watch. The dance festival involves many local Primary and High schools and will take place at The Parks sports Centre, Howden Road, North Shields NE29 6TL.

The festival starts at 6.30pm on Tuesday 7th March but children performing can arrive from 6pm. The children can be dropped off at the fire exit door located at the back of the building on the night of the performance. The car parks may be busy so please allow plenty of time to drop pupils off.

Tickets will be available for parents/carers to purchase so they can watch the performance. The tickets are £5 each and will go on sale at The Parks sports Centre from 9am on Friday 10th February. The tickets are sold on a first come first served basis.

The dance festival will be recorded and after the event a link will be shared with you to view our school performance and the performances of other schools.

There will be a dress rehearsal on Monday 6th March.  The children will travel to The Parks by mini bus with school staff for dress rehearsal. The children will need to bring a packed lunch on the day of the dress rehearsal and come to school in their costume. Could all children please wear a black t.shirt/top and black leggings/trousers. Accessories will be provided.
