Our Facilities

Nursery

In addition to the Nursery classroom and outdoor area, we share the facilities of the Early Years building. This includes the hall, the library and the mini-computer suite. These rooms are used by Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children and staff across these year groups work as a team. This helps the Nursery children with their transition into Reception classes; giving them the opportunity to take part in a wider range of learning experiences with older children.

The hall is used for physical activity, phonics and large group activities such as the parachute, as well as special occasions such as the Christmas performance.

The library is used for reading sessions and quiet, small group activities. It includes a ‘mini computer suite’. The computers are networked and linked to the main school server with Firewall-protected Internet access. Children are always supervised when using computers.

The Nursery has it’s own ICT facilities which allows access to both PCs and iPads during each session, for individual or targeted use.

The KEEP

The KEEP is a brand new facility that offers a light, warm, safe environment to our children and families.  The KEEP has it’s own toilets and changing rooms with pegs and a kitchen area with cooking and baking facilities.  There are areas indoors that allow for wet and messy play and an extended carpeted area that gives the KEEP a cosy, homely feel.  The children have continuous access to their own outdoor area and often use the main EYFS indoor and outdoor area and the school garden. The children in the KEEP can access all areas of the school building and often venture into the big yard and climbing castle area.
