North Tyneside Council – School Uniform for children eligible for benefits related free school meals – Gift Cards – Update

As you are aware the government have released funding to support parents of children eligible for benefits related Free School Meals (FSM) with the purchase of school uniform.  We are pleased to update you and to let you know that the supermarket gift cards have now arrived in school.  We will be sending them home tomorrow (Thursday 25th March 2021) with your child in an envelope so please check your child’s bags for your envelope.

The letter from North Tyneside Council states you will receive a £45 payment, a £25 voucher for your chosen supermarket and a £20 voucher to spend with a uniform supplier.  As per previous message the £20 will be issued to every child on FSM as a credit to spend in school on school uniform with the logo.  We know some parents have already taken uniform to cover this credit.  If you have not done so already please purchase your uniform as soon as possible.  School uniform is on sale in school on a Monday between 4pm and 5pm, please call into the school office, no appointment necessary.  If you are unable to call into school on this day you can send your child into school with a note stating which uniform you require with the correct sizes needed.

Thank you
