MAT Update

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope this letter finds you well.

As you are aware, we have been exploring the possibility of establishing our own Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in collaboration with Monkhouse Primary and Amberley Primary School.  This has been an exciting opportunity that we believed would strengthen our community and provide a clear pathway for the future development and growth of our school. However, after careful consideration, we regret to inform you that this plan will not be moving forward at this time.

The primary reason for this decision is the current financial climate, which has made it increasingly challenging. In particular, the withdrawal of the conversion grant, which was essential for the creation of a new MAT, has left us unable to move forward with the proposed establishment. This is incredibly disappointing as we had felt strongly that forming our own MAT was the right step towards ensuring the best possible future for our students and staff.

Although this specific plan will not proceed, we remain committed to working collaboratively with other schools to provide our students with the best possible educational experiences. We understand the importance of strong partnerships in education, and we will continue to seek out opportunities for collaboration that support the development of our school community.

In the future, when the timing and circumstances align, we will once again explore the option of academisation and joining a well-established MAT that aligns with our values and vision for the school.
