Letter to Year 4

Dear parents/carers,

As you already know, Mrs Imray is absent due to her husband having a kidney transplant.  I am really pleased to be able to tell you that the early signs are that everything has gone well.  But obviously recovery will take a period of time, even once he is out of hospital.

We had planned for Miss Osueke to take over Year 4I during all of Mrs Imray’s absence.  Unfortunately, since we made that decision, we have entered another period of lockdown.  This is obviously an unplanned change which we have no control over.  As a result, Miss Osueke was told late last week that she is now not able to come into work for health reasons.  Miss Osueke is working very hard for school on a number of tasks during this period of time.

In order to minimise any disruption for your children, Mrs Stobbs is going to take Y4I until either Mrs Imray or Miss Osueke return.  Mrs Stobbs is a very experienced teacher.  She has taught Year 4 in our school for a number of years.  I feel that given the unplanned circumstances, the priority for your children is a familiar and experienced member of our school staff team. This is why I am moving Mrs Stobbs from her role in Year 6 rather than booking an external supply teacher.

I hope that you can understand that this situation is entirely out of our control, but that we are managing these circumstances as best as we can for your children.

Best wishes,

Kate Byrne
