Information for Year 4 Parents/Carers

Dear parents/carers,

I am writing to let you know that Mrs Imray is going to be absent from school for the coming weeks.  Mrs Imray and her husband are happy for me to explain the unique reason, especially as her absence is soon after our children have had such a long time away from school.

Mr Imray is having a planned kidney transplant operation, shortly after half term and the whole family needs to isolate prior to the operation.  For obvious reasons, Mrs Imray will then be taking some compassionate leave while Mr Imray recovers.

Due to the nature of the surgery it isn’t possible to tell you how long Mrs Imray will be absent, as it will be entirely dependent on how the surgery goes and how Mr Imray recovers.

Mrs Imray’s last day in school is tomorrow.  In order to minimise any disruption to your children, Miss Osueke will be taking Y4I during Mrs Imray’s absence.  She knows the children well as she is currently teaching in Year 4 in the mornings.  She is also a very experienced Year 4 teacher.

We wish Mr and Mrs Imray and their family all the best in the coming weeks and hope the operation is a total success.

Kate Byrne
