Full Governing Body Meeting Monday 5th October 2020 – Meeting Overview

Our Full Governing Body Meetings (and Committee meetings) continue to take place virtually and they remain well attended.

During our latest meeting on the 5th of October our Chair and Vice Chair were re-elected for another year and our committee structures and responsibilities were slightly amended to ensure we remain in a strong position to support the schools strategic direction.
The Governors completed all relevant paperwork to ensure we remain compliant and the FGB and Committee meeting dates were agreed for the next 12 months as this enables us to ensure that we remain quorate and that there are no delays to decisions and policies by ensuring the Governors are able to plan for meetings in advance.
The Headteacher provided us with a comprehensive school reopening update and we reviewed the current risk assessment and we all agreed that it has been a monumental task and fully recognise the outstanding work that has been carried out by the Head, the SLT, the Teachers and all school staff involved.
The Governors confirmed that they had read and understood the latest Keeping Children Safe In Education policy and Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and agreed to uphold the Governor Code of Conduct Policy for another year.
The FGB discussed the School Improvement Plan for Covid Recovery and fully supported the Head in the vital importance of Wellbeing (for pupils, parents and staff) alongside Curriculum.
The Governors remain committed to supporting the school during these difficult times and remain extremely positive about the decisions that are being made and the hard work that is being done to ensure that the children are supported and continue to experience a happy and caring environment that supports their learning.
Many Thanks
Juliet Jackson
