DoodleMaths – Parent/Carer Support

Dear parents/carers,

We are very proud of all the children and the work they have completed so far this year on DoodleMaths. As mentioned in the launch letter sent at the beginning of the academic year, we strongly advocate a ‘little and often’ approach with children using the app for just 10 minutes a day at home to improve their confidence and ability in maths.

DoodleMaths ‘learns’ what your child’s strengths and weaknesses are and creates a personalised work programme tailored to them. As a result, we ask that parents do not help too much with DoodleMaths at home as the programme will begin to build an understanding of the parents learning profile rather than the students, resulting in the questions not being aimed at the ability of the student.

Please encourage your child to be within their target zone by earning their target number of stars per week. We continue to run an in-school competition between children in Years 1, 2 and 3 to see which class has the most children in the green zone and the most stars collected in total and prizes for children who achieve 50, 100, 200 and 365 day streaks.

If you have any questions, please visit help.doodlehq.com or speak to a member of the Doodle team by clicking on the green chat icon on the website.

Happy Doodling!
