Clubs
King Edward Primary School offers a wide variety of extra curricular clubs after school such as, dance, football, Lego, gardening, multisports and more! Most of these clubs run on a termly basis for a set number of weeks. Details of this terms clubs can be found below.
If you are interested in your child joining a club, you can register them as and when they are advertised via School Gateway message. Our clubs are so popular they are sometimes oversubscribed. Where this is the case we will do our best to accommodate as many children as possible. If we aren't able to allocate your child a place, don't worry! There are always plenty of clubs coming up and we will prioritise a place for your child if they've missed out the last time.
As some of these clubs are hosted by external providers there will be a charge to parents / carers.
King Edward Primary School also has an on site Out of School Club offering before, after school and holiday child care. For more information about the Out of School Club, please click this link.

Mini Clubs
We are also pleased to introduce our NEW Mini Clubs starting summer 2025!
‘Mini Clubs’ run for just four weeks and offer a chance for children to take part in different activities. Different Mini Clubs lasting four weeks will be offered each half term. Clubs will begin straight after school and end at 4.00pm.
Clubs include: mindfulness, drawing, running, board games, Harry Potter, jigsaws, crafts, chess, French, homework and more! All clubs are free of charge.
As will our wider after school clubs, parents / carers can sign up via Google Forms which are released prior to each block of Mini Clubs. Again, clubs have a maximum capacity but if your child is not allocated a place there will be a chance for them to attend a future club.
If you have any questions about Mini Clubs or our extra curricular after school clubs, please call the office and a member of staff will be happy to help.

Clubs FAQ
What clubs do you offer?
We offer both extra curricular after school clubs which often run on a termly basis and a wide range of Mini Clubs which run in four week blocks.
Are your clubs free?
Some of our extra curricular clubs are hosted by external providers and so there is a charge to parents. However, all of our mini clubs are free of charge!
What time do clubs finish?
All Mini Clubs finish at 4.00pm. Most extra curricular clubs finish at 4.30pm but check the Google Form at sign up for the exact finishing time for each club.
Where do I collect my child after clubs?
This varies from club to club. Check the Google Form at sign up for your child’s collection point.
How are children selected if clubs are oversubscribed?
Where clubs are oversubscribed we pick children’s names out of a hat to allocate places. If we are unable to offer your child a place at a club we will prioritse a place for them at a future club.
Who runs your clubs?
Our clubs are run by a mixture of external providers and school staff including teaches, educational support staff and premises staff.
Why aren’t clubs offered for Nursery and Reception?
We feel that Nursery and Reception children are too young to get the best out of a club at the end of a long, busy school day. Our OOSC is open to Nursery and Reception children after school which offers a more relaxed environment as opposed to a structured club.
